Wild and romantic Lake Lauenen is also worth a visit in winter. A winter hiking trail leads guests through dreamlike landscapes to Lake Lauenen in just 40 minutes. The Alpenland Hotel’s sun terrace is a hidden gem. Enjoy its unique view with a large side order of sunshine.
Ski-in, Ski-out: outdoor activities in the Bernese Oberland
Head straight from slippers to ski or cross-country shoes: the eight-kilometre-long cross-country skiing trail starts right at the hotel and leads through the snow-covered Rohr moorland and floodplain. For fans of speed, one of the three ski pistes can be found right opposite the Hotel Alpenland. Thanks to the semi-nostalgic Lauenen ski lift, plenty have already developed a feeling for curves. But there is a lot to discover off-piste too: Hotel Alpenland makes a great starting point for a skiing tour of the Lauenen Valley.
