Regula Oehrli - Yak breeder

Unique animals from the Lauenen valley. A yak is slightly smaller than an ox, has long shaggy hair, in the mountains the animals are sure-footed like chamois. The meat is low in fat and rich in protein, its taste is pleasant and resembles game meat.

Daniel von Siebenthal - Vegetable Grower

Carrots, courgettes, pumpkins and flowers are his passion. At 1’050 metres above sea level, Daniel von Siebenthal grows some of the vegetables and berries for the Hotel Alpenland on his farm. Pure freshness and seasonality on our plates.

Rolf von Siebenthal - Meat refiner

Dried "ir Rueh vor Natur"! The meat drying house is located at 1’250 metres above sea level in idyllic Lauenen. For two to five months - depending on the product - the expert meticulously monitors the specialities. The pieces get their shape during this time. The gentle maturing process results in the incomparable aroma. The Hotel Alpenland purchases dried beef from Rolf von Siebenthal.
